George
George was a Swiss-Canadian television show that aired on CTV in 1972-73 on Thursday evenings.
The show was based upon the 1971 film George! , concerning the adventures of a St. Bernard dog and his owner who are living in Switzerland. Marshall Thompson starred in the film and also the subsequent collection. The show made its CTV debut in a Thursday evening time slot on 16 September 1972. George ended in 1973. The Globe and Mail's Blaik Kirby believed the program to become"abysmal". On CTV affiliates for decades later, the series had been rerun despite its short run and mixed critical reaction , usually to fill.
