An Ideal Husband
Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband, the Rolls-Royce of English comedies, is getting a new production. It will be shown live to movie theaters from London. This play is both fun and relevant. It brings a political sin right into the heart of the English home. Sir Robert Chiltern, a government minister who wants to rise to the top, looks like he'll make it to the top until Mrs. Cheveley shows up in London with proof of his financial misdeeds. As part of a year-long celebration of Oscar Wilde, the Classic Spring Theatre Company is staging this third play from the Oscar Wilde Season. It will be directed by Jonathan Church, and it will be staged by the theater company.
