This epic poem Western tells the true story of Bass Reeves, the first marshal from the open West. In Arkansas seeking a job with 19, having escaped from slavery following the Civil War , he arrives. He needs to look down a deadly outlaw with the aid of a journeyman , to establish himself. Since he chases the offender deeper in to the Cherokee Nation, Reeves cement his place -- and must not dodge bullets, but intense offenses in hopes of getting his celebrity.
