Hotel by the River
An elderly poet who is receiving complimentary accommodations at a riverside hotel contacts his two estranged sons. This is due to the fact that he has a sense, for no apparent reason, that he is going to die. A young woman finds herself living alone at the hotel after being abandoned by the man she had been sharing her life with. In order to receive assistance, she contacts a buddy. The poet takes some time off to spend the day with his sons and attempts to tie up some of the loose ends in his life. But accomplishing that in a single day is not exactly a walk in the park. After what seemed like an eternity, an unbelievable amount of snow began to fall, and it was then that he saw the young woman and her friend.
