Roald Dahl's Esio Trot
Mr. Hoppy is actually just a shy old man who lives alone in an apartment building. For so many years, he was secretly in love with Mrs. Silver, a lady who resides underneath him. Mr. Hoppy frequently leans over his balcony and buys thoughtful conversation with Mrs. Silver, however he is too timid to reveal how he believes. Mr. Hoppy longs to express his feelings to Mrs. Silver, however they can not bring his lips to shape the exact language. Mrs. Silver includes a small pet tortoise, Alfie, whom she loves greatly . One morning, Mrs. Silver mentions to Mr. Hoppy that even though she has received Alfie for many decades, her pet has only grown a very small bit, and it has gained just 3 ounce in weight. She confesses she wishes she knew of a means to get her little Alfie grown into a more dignified tortoise. Mr. Hoppy unexpectedly thinks of a method to give Mrs. Silver her wish and then win her affection.
