The Black Sleep
In 19th century Englanda documented brain-surgeon enrolls a former student from spirits him out to an ancient, repurposed abbey much from the countryside, and being chased on a conviction for murder. There, he connives his pupil into assisting him in mapping the functions of the several parts of the human brain, with living areas that are under a terrible animation-suspending drug called"black sleep". Subsequentlythe student, in addition to the daughter of a few of many subjects, discover that nearly all of these areas have survived but are now being retained at a dungeon-like cellar, in various stages of derangement...
