The Eyes of Orson Welles
Orson Welles was trained as an artist before he became an actor and director. He continued to draw and paint throughout his career, making sketches of characters, storyboards, set designs, and pictures of the people and places that inspired him. Most of these pieces have never been seen by anyone outside of his family and close friends. Award-winning director Mark Cousins has been given access to this treasure trove of images for the first time so that he can make a movie about what he finds there. This will be the first time that the story of Welles' visual thinking has ever been told. A fresh look at one of the most creative people of the 20th century, whose work and life continue to fascinate people today.
