The Holy Mountain
A Mexican master leads disciples as well as a Christ figure to your mountain of immortal men that are wise. The scandal of this 1973 Cannes Film Festival, the flooding of sacrilegious vision of writer/director Alejandro Jodorowsky and botanical symbolism from The Holy Mountain is actually a quest for enlightenment pitting illusion against truth. The Alchemist (Jodorowsky) assembles together a group of individuals from all walks of life to represent the planets in the solar system. The goal of the occult adept is to put his recruits before embarking on a trip to Lotus 29, and divest them of these bags. There they ascend the Holy Mountain to reestablish the immortal gods who rule the world.
