The Mass Is Over
Nanni Moretti, a former campus radical, decided to become a priest in order to abandon his past. Upon arriving back in his hometown, Moretti is shocked to see that the residents have lost their reverence for their religious traditions. Moretti is unable to communicate with any of his old friends because they have all gleefully succumbed to the Seven Deadly Sins. He cannot even count on finding solace from his own family, which is a screwed-up aggregation that gives the word "dysfunctional" several new meanings. Moretti is unable to count on finding solace from his own family.
