The Weapon, the Hour, the Motive
Orchidea and Giulia are involved with Don Giorgio, a charming young priest who teaches in a monastery. He is brutally tortured to death after professing his contrition and intention to rejoin the Church. Giulia's throat is cut shortly after that. Orchidea, the primary suspect, is the object of Inspector Boito's affections, and he is getting ready to marry her. A curious child named Ferruccio who is imprisoned and drugged appears to hold the key to cracking the case. Will anyone believe that he saw one of the murders take place?
