Bagpuss
Bagpuss is a children's television programme that was produced in the United Kingdom by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate between the dates of 12 February 1974 and 7 May 1974 under the banner of their firm, Smallfilms. "An ancient, sagging, fabric cat, baggy, and a touch loose at the seams," was how the title character was described. Even though there were only 13 episodes of the show produced, it is still remembered affectionately, and it was routinely rebroadcast in the UK for a total of 13 years. In 1999, a BBC poll sought to determine which children's television show was the most popular in the United Kingdom, and Bagpuss came out on top.
