Julia
Julia is an American sit com notable for being one of those very first string to portray an African American woman in a function. Previous tv series featured African American lead characters, but the characters have been usually servants. The show celebrities singer and actress Diahann Carroll, and conducted for 86 episodes on NBC in September 17, 1968. The series was produced by Savannah Productions, Inc., Hanncar Productions, Inc., and 20th Century-Fox Television.
During preproduction, the set title that is planned was Mama's Man. The series was unique in that it was among the situation comedies in the late 1960s which did not make use of a laugh track. However, they were added by 20th Century-Fox Television when the series was reissued in the late 1980s for cable and syndication re-broadcasts.
