Kindred: The Embraced
John Leekley Productions and Spelling Television's Kindred: The Embraced is an American television series. The series began on Fox on April2,1996, and ran for eight episodes before being canceled on May9,1996, loosely based on the role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade. During his investigation of accused mobster Julian Luna, Detective Frank Kohanek of the San Francisco Police Department discovers his city is home to several vampires. Julian is the "prince" of the city and the ruler of "The Kindred," a gang of five vampires in chevaliers chevaliers. Julian aggressively maintains the regulations that regulate them to protect the vampires' identities. As they work together to avoid a vampire war, Julian and Frank create an uneasy friendship, while Julian fights with his love for human reporter Caitlin Byrne. The series was published on VHS and DVD in eight episodes.
