Phoenix Nights
Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights is about a working men's club in Farnworth, Greater Manchester. Neil Fitzmaurice, Peter Kay, and Dave Spikey wrote and produced the Channel 4 show. Toni Baker and Peter Kay wrote the song. Paddy McGuinness contributed. Two 2001 and 2002 series were created. Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere is a spin-off of That Peter Kay Thing. It earned the People's Choice Award at the 2002 British Comedy Awards. Kay directs and stars in the second season. In September 2006, Kay confirmed on BBC Radio 1 that a third series of Phoenix Nights has been written. Kay promised another series on May 8, 2007. Dave Spikey said in late-2009 interviews that neither he nor co-writer Neil Fitzmaurice knew about plans to revive the series.
