Yoon Eun-hye, Ju Ji-hoon, Kim Jeong-hoon, and Song Ji-hyo starred as the leads in the romantic comedy television series Princess Hours, which debuted in South Korea in 2006. The Korean manhwa Goong, written by Park So-hee, serves as the inspiration for this work. It began airing on the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation on January11,2006, and ended on March30,2006, with a total of 24 episodes airing at 21:55 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Princess Hours was MBC's second most popular drama of 2006, behind only Jumong in terms of viewership. According to TNS Media's rankings, the program finished the year as the tenth most popular drama overall. As a result of its popularity, the Goong S spin-off series debuted on television on January 10, 2007.
