The PJs
TV series The PJs was produced by Eddie Murphy, Larry Wilmore and Steve Tompkins and is an American stop-motion animated television series. It was based on the Brewster-Douglass housing developments in Detroit, where Diana Ross and Lily Tomlin had lived, and depicted life in an urban public housing project. It was produced by Imagine Entertainment by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, The Murphy Company & Will Vinton Studios in cooperation with Touchstone Television and Warner Bros. TV in conjunction with the Murphy Company and The Murphy Company. After a divisional conference football playoff game, the inaugural run of the series premiered on Fox on January 10, 1999. The second episode aired on Tuesday night, following King of the Hill, in its regular time slot.
