Tribal
Under the guise of inclusion and collaboration, the Department of Federal Justice aims to recover political face by seizing control of the Tribal Police Force that polices the city's four Indian Reserves. Interim Tribal Chief Samantha Woodburn battles political red tape and must also prove herself within the Metro Police's old-white-boys club. She navigates a strange world while clashing with her new partner, Chuck "Buke" Bukansky, a seasoned but broken-down Metro Police detective. "Tribal" investigates real-world First Nation criminal stories, including mistaken identification, pipeline dispute, healing lodge justice, social services, and missing Indigenous Peoples.
