Drunks
Jim seemed unusually concerned at the start of a nightly Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. His sponsor urges him to speak that night, for the first time in seven months, and he does so-then promptly exits the group. As Jim wanders the night, looking for solace in his old haunts, the bars and parks where he purchased drugs, the meeting continues, and we hear the stories of survivors and addicts - some, like Louis, who claim to have wandered in looking for choir practice and do not identify as alcoholics, and others, like Joseph, whose drinking nearly killed his child - as they discuss their lives at the meeting.
