Electoral Dysfunction
'Electoral Dysfunction' employs irreverent comedy to demonstrate how voting works–and does not work –in the United States of America. The film, hosted by Mo Rocca (a CBS News correspondent, a panelist on NPR's 'Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!,' and a former correspondent for 'The Daily Show,') is structured as a road trip that begins with Mo making an eye-opening discovery: The Constitution does not guarantee the right to vote, placing America in the company of Libya, Iran, and Indonesia. Mo investigates election fraud and voter identification; searches for the Electoral College; debates ballot design with Todd Oldham; and speaks with academics and activists from across the political spectrum about why our voting system is flawed and how it can be fixed.
