Once There Was Brasília
Disguised as dystopian science fiction with references to George Miller and JG Ballard, the film proposes a reflection on the current Brazilian political and social situation, specifically the impeachment process of President Dilma Rousseff, while also rehearsing an other future for Brazil. As the country's political capital, and particularly as one of the greatest symbolic utopias of the twentieth century in Brazil, Braslia shares protagonism with a couple of renegades who survive by drifting marginally in search of personal and collective salvation.
