Eva Doesn't Sleep
The thing about that particular story is it's true. Back in 1952, the beloved First Lady, Eva Perón of Argentina, died at age thirtythree of cancer. A renowned embalmer was commissioned with the grieving Juan Perón to conserve her body display, and Argentines flocked to be near"Evita." Three decades after, when a coup overthrew his government, Perón fled the country before he would make arrangements for the transport of the body of his wife. The military junta now in control kidnapped the corpse. So fearful were they of Eva's emblematic power they made it illegal to even utter her name. Hence began the two-decade travel of Eva's body all through Europe and eventually back to Argentina.
