Single, 3-5, and uninspired with his job, Jesse Fisher worries his best days are behind him. But no matter how far he buries his head in a publication, life keeps pulling Jesse straight back. When his favorite college professor invites him to speak in his retirement dinner, Jesse jumps at the chance. He is prepared for that nostalgia of dorm rooms and those dining halls, the parties and poetry seminars. That which he does not see forthcoming is Zibby -- a gorgeous, precocious, classical-music-loving sophomore. Zibby awakens feelings of connection and possibility that Jesse thought he had buried.
