Nanook of the North
This pioneering documentary movie portrays the lives of the indigenous Inuit people of the northern Quebec region of Canada. It shows the way its resourceful subjects survive such a harsh climate, revealing how they construct their own igloo domiciles and detect food by hunting and fishing although the production includes some elements. The film also captures the in case unforgiving, frozen picture of the Great White North, far removed from culture.
