The Barcelona Vampiress
When the twentieth century began, Barcelona was actually two cities side by side. One is affluent and cutting-edge, while the other is squalor and antiquated. The disappearance of Teresa Guitart, the privileged young daughter of a prominent family, causes widespread panic. Enriqueta Marti, a lady popularly known as "The Barcelona Vampiress," is quickly pegged as a suspect by the authorities. The journalist Sebastia Comas begins to investigate the Vampiress's alleged involvement in the kidnappings and grisly killings of children by delving into the tangled web of streets, brothels, and secrets that make up the Raval area. Through his investigations, he will expose a corrupt elite that will go to any length to cover up their immoral behavior.
