Hamish Macbeth
Hamish Macbeth is a comedy-drama series that was made by BBC Scotland and first aired in 1995. It is based on a series of mystery books by M. C. Beaton, but not exactly. The series is about a police officer named Constable Hamish Macbeth who works in the made-up Scottish town of Lochdubh on the west coast. Robert Carlyle played the main character. From 1995 to1997, it ran for three seasons, each of which had six episodes. The third season had eight episodes.
