The City can be a American reality television show that aired from December 2-9, 2008 on MTV before July 13, 2010. Developed since this Hills' spinoff, the show aired two seasons and dedicated to the professional and personal lives of women residing in New York City, ny. Adam DiVello conceived its assumption, while Liz Gateley functioned as the executive producer.
The show originally focused on Whitney Port, that appeared at its predecessor, as she began employment. It placed emphasis on her behalf workplace rival Olivia Palermo, Port's boyfriend Jay Lyon, his roommate Adam Senn, along with her friend Erin Lucas. Port's roommate Roxy Olin and the enemy Erin Kaplan of Palermo replaced the three to the second half of their initial season.
The City was less successful compared to Hills, also also received reviews from critics. Like its predecessor, the show had been criticized for glancing towards a story format seen in genres including soap operas, also appearing to fabricate much of its own narrative. All seasons have been distributed by the show .
