The Dead Zone
The Dead Zone, aka Stephen King's Dead Zone has been an science fiction/suspense series starring Anthony Michael Hall as Johnny Smith, who discovers he has developed psychic abilities following a coma. The show, imputed as"centered on personalities" in Stephen King's 1979 publication of the identical name, first aired in 2002, and has been produced by Lionsgate Television and CBS Paramount Network Television for its USA Network.
The show was originally commissioned for UPN, but the show was dropped by the system and it had been picked up instead by USA. The show has been filmed because of the initial five seasons in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The sixth and last season was billed as"The season that affects everything" and production was moved to Montreal.
The Dead Zone was anticipated to be revived for a final season in December 2007 the show has been canceled due to low ratings and higher production cost , without a series finale.
Some rumors spread that the show would be picked up by Syfy when it had been canceled by USA, but it did not happen. Rumors of a movie that was made for TV have faded as time passes.
